Hi London Logo

Nikita's English language teacher noticed immediately the changes in his English and supposed that he had been in the UK (a good guess!). Polina is complaining that she is not studying English at school now (she learns French as a first foreign language); so I have decided to enrol her in an English course as well.

Learn English in a fun, natural way

To master English, sitting in a classroom wrestling with grammar or vocabulary is usually not enough. You need to use the English language within a realistic context, seeking to understand and make yourself be understood.

Hi-London is not a typical English language school. We focus on providing children, teens and accompanying adults for whom English is not their native language the opportunity to interact with native speakers and each other in English.

  • With children, we draw, act, cook and make music in English, allowing them to hear and use English in a natural context. The children also have the option of participating in workshops and private tours at venues like the Tower of London and Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
  • For teens and accompanying adults, there are workshops and private tours in English at landmark venues which bring to life the historical and cultural richness of London. The activities at each venue are designed to engage the interests of this older group.

Our unique approach to teaching English has a significant impact on the confidence and motivation of the students, helping to ensure that learning English remains an important part of their lives.

English courses built out of personal experiences

We, the founders of Hi-London, are parents who speak additional languages and are committed to raising our own children in multilingual, multicultural environments. We have experienced complete language immersion during childhood and youth ourselves and understand the value of operating outside of a typical English school setting.

Delivered by native English speakers who understand children, teens and their parents

All of the workshop leaders, teachers and assistants are native English speakers, and many have worked with children for years. Some are parents themselves; so, the team is well equipped to address any needs or concerns of the parents that may arise.
